Nothing special really but at least it's something. Could be a long off season...

I'm glad we've got a work horse - I really hope he can turn into a true 3-4 DE, and we can get Dareus to plug in beside him.

What is so great about doing pushups for 25 secs? I'm 43 and I'm required to do pushups for a minute straight for the Air Force...plus he has moobs.

Yeah, but it's like number 6 on the list of most annoying things this guy does...

Actually in the Air Force you can weigh 400 lbs as long as you can run a 1.5 miles, do a minimum amount of push ups and sits and your waist isn't over 40 inches. Troop would have failed his test. 24 pushups is not nearly enough even for a NFL lineman.

Herschel Walker...

..."Walker stated in an in-studio interview during BaD Radio on August 23, 2010 that he still performs 3,500 sit-ups and 1,000 push ups every day. He has been going through this same routine since high school."...

None of it is all that impressive, just looks like another guy in the gym (although his dad looks like a beast)...but it is nice to seem him put the effort in on his own.

Self motivation can't be taught.

Being fit is no guarantee of effective play on the field, but I 'd rather have a fit 326 lb nose tackle than a 326 lb fat slob.

Those aren't standard pushups. Those are Diamond (Tricep) Pushups. They focus on your triceps more than your chest. They are harder than standard pushups and harder to do for a man that size to push up that body weight. Not saying it's that hard but just saying it isn't like a simple pushup.

Isn't there another thread about Troup being a beast somewhere around here.

Unless he has the worlds largest hands he isn't doing diamond pushups.

He could do more if he would breath as he goes down on every repetition. His muscles need more oxygen than what they are getting, therefor he is cheating his body.
