Flowery Branch -- In a way, Ray Buchanan has been here before. The cornerback is one of three current players who were on the roster when the Falcons went to Super Bowl XXXIII four-plus years ago, so he knows about optimism.
"There's a buzz, a vibe people want to be part of," said Buchanan, who joins offensive tackle Bob Whitfield and defensive lineman Travis Hall as the only remaining members of the Falcons' lone NFC championship team. "After the Super Bowl didn't even compare to what we've got going on right now."
Buchanan missed four games in 2002 while serving a suspension for banned substances, and was hampered in several others by knee and abdominal injuries. He's out to have a better season, and he thinks the Falcons can improve on their 10-7-1 mark....
