Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett is scheduled to visit the Carolina Panthers next month, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
The Panthers hold the top pick of the draft and previously conducted a private workout for Mallett.
Meanwhile, Mallett is slated to work out for the Miami Dolphins in Fayetteville, Ark., on Tuesday and visit the Cincinnati Bengals later next week.
Next month, he has visits with the Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota VIkings, San Francisco 49ers, Dolphins and the Tennessee Titans
Mallett is a big, strong-armed passer who excelled at the NFL scouting combine throwing the football as well as at his campus Pro Day workout.
The 6-foot-6, 238-pounder ran the 40-yard dash between 5.37 and 5.39 seconds at his Pro Day, slower than every quarterback at the NFL scouting combine.
