I don't pretend to know what team needs what. The Bills are my #1 love, followed by stand up comedy, then followed by college sports, then my fiancee (she might be in there higher, I'm not sure).
Everyone else is showing their mock drafts, and since this offseason has been beyond boring, I figured I'd accept ridicule for my "Mock".
Welp... What would you do in this scenario?
1. Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M - Kind of a given, we need a pass rush and run support, he seems to be able to do both off the edge in a 3-4
2. Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada - Call me Al Davis, but the kids combine numbers and Senior Bowl impressed me. I think under Fitz he could end up being an offensive weapon. Can run and make the tight throw, but arm strength deep/accuracy... eh...
3. Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU - If he can drop this far, I think he can fill the RT hole we currently have. As most people on this board know, our interior seems pretty set on the line, but RT seems to be a rotating door at this point.
4. Lawrence Guy, DE, ASU - Pretty quick DE to put on the left side, with the loss of Stroud we need that depth behind Carrington.
4. Johnny Patrick, CB, Louisville - I didn't see #24 on a Bills uni a lot this season, did you? Good school, seemed pretty solid.
5. Mario Harvey, ILB, Marshall - Run support. With Miller/Merriman off the edge, maybe Moats hits the middle to replace that PHENOM Ellison (*sigh*) and we can have insane alliteration along the inside.
6. Cecil Shorts, WR, Mount Union - With a couple small school pick ups last year, I can see this as a Buddy Nix move. Martin Nance?!
7. Chris Neild, NT, WVU - Run support. A couple scouting reports have this guy as a "shed the blocker, wrap up with one arm and have the LB slam him to the ground" type guy. Could be a late round pick to switch along all of the Dline for depth support.
7. Zach Pianalto, TE, North Carolina - Reminds me much of Schouman, who I hope comes back. I'm not a huge Boise S. fan, but the guy got the job done, but with injuries it looks like he needs a replacement. I would be surprised if he drops this far, but if he's there, could be the last future Bill off the board in 2011.
