Hey guys. I'm a daily reader of the board and I'd like to thank all you guys for making this the best Bills message board on the internet!
**Bills trade #3 overall (2200 points) to MIN for #12 overall (1200 points), #43 overall (460 points), and 2012 3rd round pick (210 points).
TRADE: I have to thank coach Sal for this one. It's great to hear that the Bills would be willing to trade down for the right price and I feel as though this draft is the perfect storm for that scenario. With the lockout still in full effect, no teams will be able to acquire players and if any team needs just one player to put themselves over the edge, it is the Vikings. With that said, I think picks #1 and #2 will involve either Newton or Gabbert and Dareus and with the Vikings having such a glaring hole at signal caller, one would have to believe that they'd pounce on the chance to leapfrog all of the quarterback needy teams and potentially draft a franchise cornerstone at quarterback.
#1 (12 overall)
CAMERON JORDAN DE CAL
The Bills seem to covet Jordan and with a trade down, the pick would come down to either the Cal product or JJ Watt. I believe that Watt will not be around at the no. 12 pick, but that will not be a problem at all for Buddy Nix and company as they will be able to pick this tenacious, hard working, "dog" of a player.
#2 (34 overall)
RYAN MALLETT QB ARKANSAS
Ryan Mallett is one of the most polarizing prospects in years. With that said, he could also become one of the biggest draft steals in NFL history. The Bills are doing their due dillegence on quarterback prospects this off-season which leads me to believe that Chan Gailey would be willing to pull the trigger on who he believes could be his franchise quarterback. According to NFLdraftbible, the Bills are among three teams investigating Mallett "heavily." If the Bills believe that Mallett is a pretty clean person off the field, they would almost have to draft him as his tools are almost impossible to pass up. In one off season, Chan Gailey transformed perennial back up Ryan Fitzpatrick, a guy with fairly limited potential, into a solid quarterback. Just picture what Gailey could do with a Mallett's boundless potential.
#3 (43 overall)
KELVIN SHEPPARD ILB LSU
Sheppard is another prospect that Buffalo is quite high on this year. He fits what seems to be the Buddy Nix mold: he's a senior (who played four seasons of SEC football), a team leader, and a highly productive player.
#4 (68 overall)
LUKE STOCKER TE TENNESSEE
#5 (100 overall)
BRUCE MILLER OLB UCF
#6 (122 overall)
DEREK HALL OT STANFORD
#7 (133 overall)
CORTEZ ALLEN CB CITADEL
#8 (169 overall)
CHRIS NEILD NT WVU
#9 (206 overall)
NATE WILLIAMS S WASHINGTON
#10 (245 overall)
DERRELL SMITH ILB SYRACUSE
