Browns safety Robert Griffith has put the departure of defensive coordinator Foge Fazio behind him and is ready to be the player Butch Davis wants him to be - on and off the field.
The 2002 Browns season ended with Griffith defending Fazio after the coach left the Browns on Jan. 7, two days after the 36-33 loss to Pittsburgh in the playoffs.
Griffith, who was brought to Cleveland by Fazio and had played for him for five years in Minnesota, said Fazio didn't get a chance to call the end of the game the way he would have liked. The defense collapsed for two long touchdown drives in the final 3:06....
