I wouldn't mind grabbing him in a trade up for a 2nd pick in the first round. Anyone else catch it?

I wouldn't trade up for him. I would be OK with taking him at 34 if he's available.

Wouldn't take him in the first 3 rounds.

Nice guy, can't play QB. Trent Edwards 2.0 Couldn't read a D to save his life.

No giving up picks for any of these QB's!

I think someone will give him a shot in the early rounds and be very happy with their decision.

He's intriguing. I was hoping he'd score better on the Wonderlic. I wouldn't trade back into the first to get him and I am concerned with his negatives at #34, but he might develop into a good QB. He's got the physical ability.

Locker reminds me of Losman. Big arm and athletic with no football sense.

Locker reminds me of Losman. Big arm and athletic with no football sense.

I think he doesn't have the same sense of entitlement that Losman had when he came into the league. He seems more grounded than Losman to me.

However, I think he has a scattershot game. He tends to give up on stuff and run around when faced with adversity.

I think he is Joey Harrington 2.0.

just like newton he is not accurate

id rather him then newton by a landslide however accuracy at 15 to 20 yards to me is the most important trait a qb can have provided he has the mental make up

locker not really accurate wouldnt be impressed drafting him

Just wondering, do you think a college qb's accuracy would be better if he played in a conference like the WAC or Mountain West compared to the SEC or PAC-12 ?

So you're saying the WR's in the WAC and MWC are better than those in the SEC and Pac-12?

I don't think any receiver can catch passes that are 10 feet over his head, no matter what conference he's in. So probably not significantly better, no.

I don't think that's what I was asking at all.

You think the better defenses with NFL caliber db's and pass rushers may make it a little more difficult when playing in the PAC-12 compared the the WAC ?

As long as a QB has enough arm to make the required throws, the most important things are accuracy and ability to read a defense. Locker has the physical skills but is missing the rest of the package.

We will discuss in 2-3 yrs.

You think you can get by with a little less arm against Mountain West d-backs ?????

"I don't think any receiver can catch passes that are 10 feet over his head, no matter what conference he's in. So probably not significantly better, no."

And if we're going along with your opinion of MWC and WAC players...then the receivers would also be on a lower level, which should balance things out, right?

You are right, the wr's are on lower level. Doesn't balnce out when you have 1st rd. d-backs closing on the ball or 1st rd. d-ends coming off the edge.

you have been watching Penn St. football for to long.

I guess so. I'm used to our receivers getting behind the "premier" SEC top-five pick DB's for TD's in bowl games. ;)

Is there ever an argument that you can sustain without trying to resort to attempts at insulting PSU? Just wondering
