He has some added incentive in this series against Buffalo, the organization where he blossomed into a star and co-captain, and spurned in 2007 to sign an eight-year, $52 million deal with the Flyers.

"The people that didn't want me are gone now," Briere said. "There's nothing personal about it. I don't see it as payback or anything like that."

my parents bought the house that briere was interested in buying at the end of 2007, but then signed with philly and didn't buy the place. As a result, i'm kind of happy the guy is gone. :-)

but seriously, i have no ill will towards briere. this could all change if he scores a hattrick tonight.

We have our own Briere in Tyler Ennis.
More like Gerbe.. Ennis has been nonexistent the last few weeks it seems. I think his first 82 game grind in the big league ran him down. Hopefully the time off helped! :band:
