He can be a solid 3-4 DE. Newton, Heyward would be a sweet day 1

Newton's going #1 overall. Heyward would be nice, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go in the end of the first round, to a team like Baltimore. I'd rather go Dareus, then best OT or LB available, personally.

If Newton goes #1. I don't want any other QB at #3. Von Miller, Heyward would be great combo to address pass rush if Dareus goes at 2

The recent consensus is that Heyward is a late first round pick, late being anywhere in the second half of round one.

So we have a chance. That is only a 8-10 pick drop. I've seen far bigger drops. Remember Everette Brown?

Probably so. I'm not aware of any "baggage" - so to speak, that would make him slip lower.

You don't know, none of us do. But passing on him could be a mistake of epic proportions.

As could taking him.

Heyward is 40th on my big board. There's a good chance he will be there when the Bills pick.

I didn't know his father Ironhead died in 2006. So young, so sad. RIP.

I think Heyward can be a terrific LDE or RDE in a 4-3, sliding into a UT position on 3rd down, or as a 5T DE in a 3-4.
I'd be very surprised if he were to fall to #34. I think it is much more likely Clayborne is available there than Heyward. When you have pedigree without attitude, it tends to work out pretty well in the NFL.

I think there has been some question about consistency with Heyward, but I think most feel he has the talent.

I disagree with you 100%
Claiborne will be gone before the 25thpick.
I have him slated to Tampa since he is a perfect fit as a DE in a 4-3 cover 2 defense.........
Heyward may be there when the Bills pick....
I think this all depends if the QB's go or not in the 1st round.......
