It's not bad enough for Buffalo teams to lose. They have to lose in the most epic, gut-wrenching fashion possible.

Another epic fail.....
by OPV

It is considered good fashion to wait till they lose before "opping" about losing

Who cares?

The last six months of our lives are spent ****ting ourselves, drooling, sitting in a wheelchair and being abandoned in a nursing home.

Expect a "cease and desist" letter from Denis Leary's lawyer on that one.

With no Bills in 2012 the Sabres are going to be it. Too bad we have an owner now that is going to spend money and sign real players, huh Op?

Why is it a choke job when Philly spends 30 minutes throwing everything they have at the Sabres and score three goals to tie?? They knew the reprocussions of a loss. Wouldn't it be a choke if they were playing the Islanders? Notice how even the game was once it was 3-3? Could it be Philly blew their load just getting back in? Did they not choke to let us win?

If you start the first 15 minutes of a game up 3-0 and looking completely dominant, than spend the next 40 getting your ass handed to you on both ends of the rink and looking like pee-wee mites eventually giving up the tying goal and being forced into OT, it's a choke job.

Coming together at the end of the third and pulling it out in OT is nice, but let's not kid ourselves here...previous Sabres teams that have advanced deep into the playoffs would've won this game 8-1, 6-2, etc and the outcome would've never been in doubt.

This team needs to understand that there is actually hockey being played between the first and third periods or they won't make it past the first round, regardless of where they stand right now.

Face it...if not for Miller saving their collectively asses in two wins and arguably all three and the cluster**** that the Flyers have in their own goal this series would already be over.

Yes, Pomminville's injury was a factor but it shouldn't have been that large of a factor.

I really don't think it was a choke job at all. We're the 7th seed, they're 2nd. We played brilliantly to take a 3-0 lead in the first period at their house. They came back with a vengence to tie it up, as you might expect the better team to do, in front of their rabid fans.

We hung tough, didn't get down, and scored the winner in overtime.

It wasn't a choke. It was a gritty win against a higher ranked opponent in their building.

I think some posters still see it as a choke, because we blew a three goal lead. I don't.

Did Philly choke when we came out and scored three goals....two of them flukes?

Yes. Allowing two fluke goals in a playoff game is a choke. Apparently the coach agrees because he pulled the waterboy.

What S11 said.

But also, better team or not, there is no excuse for ever pissing away a 3 goal lead.
