List the quarterbacks in the order you would want them on the Bills.

1.Cam Newton-Would love for Gailey to get to coach this guy up.

2.Blaine Gabbert-Ditto.

3.Colin Kaepernick-Big Arm and Athletic. Good intangibles. A bit of a project but could be ready by 2012.

4.Andy Dalton-This guy is going to at least be decent. Like the fact he is used to getting ball out quick which is important considering our o-line.

5.Christian Ponder-Has good tools and a lot going for him. The thing that scares me a bit are some of his throws look ill advised.

6.Ryan Mallett- Don't want for multiple reasons. Did not come away impressed watching him play and he looks terrible under pressure. Character concerns in conjunction with his play when there is pressure in his face would make me hate having him on the Bills.

7.Jake Locker-Love the guy personally. Just feel his accuracy is not there and don't expect him to suddenly get it.

Somebody with the potential to be the next Jim Kelly falls to the Bills in the 3rd round round - maybe.

As a Browns fan, I would say either Newton or Gabbert because that would be one less blue-chip prospect off the board when our pick comes around...

As far as QBs who I would draft and in what round:

Ponder (2nd-3rd)
Mallett (3rd) (although he occasionally throws the Derek Anderson 100mph bullet at the feet of his receivers)
Kaepernick (3rd-4th)
Tyrod Taylor (6th-7th) I think his leadership abilities, experience, and arm are all underrated. Plus he has very good mobility and keeps his eyes downfield.

I group mine into tiers:
1. Gabbert: Looks the most like a franchise QB, flaws are fixable. But still enough doubts to not want him at No. 3
2. Kaepernick/Ponder: Great upside, much better intangibles than the big names. Would be happy with either at No. 34
3. Dalton/Stanzi: Like them, but project more as long-term backups and don't offer much more than Fitz
4. Newton/Locker/Mallett: Do not want on this team under any circumstances. Screaming bust.

I don't want any QB in this draft.

If I had to pick 1 I'd settle for Stanzi in the 7th round.

Maybe I'm completely out of touch but for some reason I associate Jake Locker to JP Losman. And it's not because of the name similarity.

Good arm, accuracy issues, run around abilities, has potential in the right circumstance.

If he makes it to round 2, I'd like to see Mallett.

I don't want to see Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert anywhere near a Bills uniform. Newton intrigues me as a player, but he's too high of a risk. Gabbert = Jimmy Clausen. Ditto Jake Locker, who reminds me of Rob Johnson... and we've already been down that road.

Later rounds... well, we pretty much already have Levi Brown as a young prospect so it doesn't make much sense to try to add another one. But, if they can't get Mallett, looking over a guy like Kaepernick might be worth the time.

In NO case do I want to see a quarterback in Round 1.

Locker, Kapernick or Ponder., I'd be OK with but I wouldn't mind just skipping QB this year and just loading up on Front 7 D, with 1 TE and 1 OT.

Bills scout on Gabbert: "That's exactly how you draw up a quarterback".

I like Gabbert, I really do...But judging from ALL this praise the Bills franchise has been giving him...I am smelling a little bit of smoke

Here's another scouts opinion.

The scout has seen this movie before, and he doesn’t like it.

“What does this guy do that anybody likes?” Dave Razzano asks, pressing the rewind button. “Every pass is an underneath curl route! It’s third-and-10 in the red zone – throw a [expletive] touchdown pass. But look at this: A three-yard dump-off. That’s all he does. He threw the ball just about every play, and he had 16 touchdown passes last season.

Care to make a wager?

If we draft Blaine Gabbert at #3, he has 3 seasons to make a name for himself as a successful QB in Buffalo. If I am right and he falls on his face, you stop draft talk on the billszone. If you are right about Gabbert and he is a legitimate QB, I will stop posting in the billszone.

Defense or bust this year. Keep the three QB's that already know the system and wait until a better qb class comes around.

Hell no. Way too steep a price. This is a fan board, I'm a fan, and I like talking draft. Think I would bet that on some guy who, like everyone else in the draft, could be a bust? Hell no.

Guys, I state an opinion... That's all it is.

And again, I'd be happy with Dareus, Miller, or Gabbert at 3... and OK with Peterson, Green, or Newton as well.

Not to mention the past QB's you have backed (JohnsonEra, JPEra, TrentEra, Holcomb Era, Brohm Era) haven't turned out so well

Tell me about it, I wish things would have went better...

Hence why it stays X-era until a guy takes us to the playoffs or beyond.
