Dear Buddy Nix,
I know that you have a lot of people telling you who to select in the NFL Draft this weekend. There are a lot of draft experts out there and everyone seems to have an opinion on who is the best player for the Buffalo Bills to take. I'll admit right away that I'm not a draft guru. I don't know a lot about the college players, except for what I read about in draft blogs and draft guides. But I do want to share my opinion on one position that I feel the Bills need to fill this weekend. Sure, the run defense is terrible and you need defensive linemen and linebackers. But the most important position is the quarterback position.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is not the answer. I know that he had 3,000 yards passing last season, along with throwing 23 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. But he had five games with a 52 percent completion rate or lower. He also had four games with a QB rating under 70. And don't forget about his last game against the Patriots where he completed only 18 out of 37 passes for 251 yards, threw three interceptions and lost two fumbles. That's not the way you want your quarterback to end the season. That game proved to me that Fitzpatrick can't win the big game against a division opponent and still is nothing more than a good backup. If Fitzpatrick is not the quarterback to get the Bills back to the promised land, then maybe you need to keep looking.
So basically it comes down to who you like. I'm not sure which quarterback I prefer...... CLICK FOR MORE:
