Good solid pick. He's instantly our most athletic defensive lineman, and probably our strongest too, though Troup might give him a run for his money the way he's been working out. Our run defense is already several spots better than last season. On the pass rush, he's probably not going to be a big sack guy, though he'll get some. What he's going to do is occupy blockers, often two of them, and make it easier for linebackers to penetrate and make big plays. If Merriman comes back healthy, Dareus is going to make him much more effective.
