No comments on 3rd rd choices?

Today is round 2-3. Haven't seen much discussion on who anyone would like for rd 3...

I think there will be a run on LBers this round, but I also believe that like rd 1, people will reach (probably early) for Dalton, Mallet and Kaepernick so I don't see us grabbing a QB in the 3rd either unless we trade up (which is a definite possibility).

I see us getting an OT. Our RT position was a revolving door last year. Cornell Green doesn't belong anywhere close to that spot. I thought our backups did ok, but we could certainly use an upgrade!

I'd go with OT James Brewer.

too many variables in round 2 to think about three
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Brewer might be an option. Another would be Kelvin Sheppard.

              Ouch.

Would you take Mallett in the 3rd?

              From rotoworld:

After speaking with officials from three NFL teams, CBS Sports draft analyst Rob Rang believes Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett could slip to round three.

Combine Mallett's off-field issues with the unappealing way he carries himself and poor athleticism for the position, and you have a plummeting quarterback prospect. "I'm telling you right now, he could slip right out of the second round, entirely," one source said. Our second-round mock sent Mallett to the Redskins at No. 49, but we're not at all confident in that.

Luke Stocker would be a good pick if he's still available.

Stanzi in round 3, or another QB IMO.. I believe we will find a FA QB to back up Fitz in 2011

Any QB drafted would probably end up with clipboard duty in 2011 or practice squad duty... Levi Brown will be the determining factor. Can he keep the 3rd QB spot and force whoever we draft to the practice squd

I was reviewing my thread on Buddy Nix's draft history. My guess is that tonight we'll take a LB and a CB (I'd lean towards being in that order too, but not sure). Then on Saturday we'll take 2 OL and at least one more LB.

I'd love mallet in the 3rd. His arm would be great in buffalo.
