Today is round 2-3. Haven't seen much discussion on who anyone would like for rd 3...

I think there will be a run on LBers this round, but I also believe that like rd 1, people will reach (probably early) for Dalton, Mallet and Kaepernick so I don't see us grabbing a QB in the 3rd either unless we trade up (which is a definite possibility).

I see us getting an OT. Our RT position was a revolving door last year. Cornell Green doesn't belong anywhere close to that spot. I thought our backups did ok, but we could certainly use an upgrade!

I'd go with OT James Brewer.

too many variables in round 2 to think about three

Brewer might be an option. Another would be Kelvin Sheppard.

Ouch.

Would you take Mallett in the 3rd?

From rotoworld:

After speaking with officials from three NFL teams, CBS Sports draft analyst Rob Rang believes Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett could slip to round three.

Combine Mallett's off-field issues with the unappealing way he carries himself and poor athleticism for the position, and you have a plummeting quarterback prospect. "I'm telling you right now, he could slip right out of the second round, entirely," one source said. Our second-round mock sent Mallett to the Redskins at No. 49, but we're not at all confident in that.

Luke Stocker would be a good pick if he's still available.

Stanzi in round 3, or another QB IMO.. I believe we will find a FA QB to back up Fitz in 2011

Any QB drafted would probably end up with clipboard duty in 2011 or practice squad duty... Levi Brown will be the determining factor. Can he keep the 3rd QB spot and force whoever we draft to the practice squd

I was reviewing my thread on Buddy Nix's draft history. My guess is that tonight we'll take a LB and a CB (I'd lean towards being in that order too, but not sure). Then on Saturday we'll take 2 OL and at least one more LB.

I'd love mallet in the 3rd. His arm would be great in buffalo.

After Dalton, who I like - and Mallet - who I don't like, the pickings seem slim. I'd be surprised if they spent a 3rd on a qb - I rather like drafting one in the 7th most years, under the doctrine of "you never know...", but that OL is so thin...I'd take a pass on that this draft.

If they snag Ayers or Reed or whoever in the 2nd, they should proceed to clean out that glut of LBs they now own. That's their own da*n fault - making a switch to a 3-4 without the front 3 anywhere near settled. If Dareus performs as advertised, that will be a big step in the right direction.

I'd also be working hard on Spiller's hands and head. As they say - you can't teach speed. But you can teach getting back into the play to help a qb under pressure, and help out an iffy OL.

I'd love to see it be Herzlich.

I could seem him, with another year of health under his belt, becoming a very solid MLB.

Like 8 more picks left or so...who will Buffalo pick? I'd love Houston, but I just don't think Buffalo considers OLB a priority...OT maybe?

Not a bad prediction, if I say so myself. Could have been better, but Saturday's picks may prove the icing on the cake. We'll have to see.
