I think Reed and Ayers are the best OLB by far and that is the biggest need besides QB

Was the other one the one where you said the pick had to be Mallett or Ayers?

I think Reed and Ayers are the best OLB by far and that is the biggest need besides QBLB is, but I think ILB more than OLB... If Merriman is able to start and Moats starts... Yet we don't have a top prospect at ILB next to Poz and we don't even know if Poz is staying here. Batten hasn't played a down.

Gailey doesnt use tight ends. Therefore wasted pick.

If we're going purely based on need, I have to think TE is bigger than any of them. However, I don't think TE is quite that important, so I think we end up going LB with #34.

As far as ILB/OLB, I don't think Martez Wilson is a major upgrade (if at all) over McCarthy, Sheppard, or Irving. Most likely at least one of them is available with your 3rd.

OLB is another story, though. Major drop-off after the top 10 picks of Rd 2 IMO.

Wilson may be better in the long run, but Quan can start day one. He does have the marijuana possession arrest. Matthews as high as round 3 would be a great pick IMO.

Houston has a failed drug test, and Reed is a bit slow and stiff to play against the pass. Ayers is the top guy at this point. I wouldn't mind it.
