The Pats had looked at him as an OLB though he played DE with Wannstedt's Panthers. He has apparently met with them on several occasions
He missed his senior season electing to have back surgery but was looking like one of the better DE in the entire class. At 6ft5 and 270lbs he has Terrell Suggs / Mike Vrabel size as an OLB.
I wonder if Wannstedt's input might make us take a long look at him, especially if we run a hybrid 3-4/4-3 defense because he'll be big enough OLB to occasionally rush the passer from his hand being on the ground
