Played at 400 pounds but played both sides of the ball.

Bethel OG Leslie (Michael) Jasper measured in at 6041, 394 pounds, and ran a 5.53 and 5.61 in the 40-yard dash. He had a 1.84 10-yard, 3.23 20-yard, 28 inch vertical, 9’0 broad jump, 5.08 short shuttle, 8.44 3-cone, and did 33 bench reps. He had 10 hands, 32 ½ arms, and 81 ½ wingspan. He wore #69 in college.

I watched his videos on his home page showed his agility drills and all. Was an Ole Miss commit but left after cutliff or orgeron was fired.

No idea what to think. I guess I dont mind taking a chance on the guy but I am not sure he has a chance to make the team, but heck maybe he does.

Played at 400 pounds but played both sides of the ball.5.53 is slower than any DT at the Combine by my unofficial numbers.

But he just needs to eat up space and get off blocks so that may not matter that much. 33 rep's is nice.

I'm fine with that.

Again, we still have free agency.

Ya, his 40 time means nothing. He's never going to put heat on a QB.

I don't know though...if I had a dollar for every time you wished you NT ran a 4.3, because they are in space sprinting after a running back...

Would be good to have a guy like this make the team so we can use him in short yardage and goal line situations.

I don't know though...if I had a dollar for every time you wished you NT ran a 4.3, because they are in space sprinting after a running back... With him on the field there won't be any space...he'll be filling it all up! I was going to say "eating it all up", but I don't think you really want to talk about "eating" anything around him because he probably will (if he hasn't already)!

I dont like this, do you realize how many penalties the Bills will get for 12 men on the field? Also this would make the fans the 13th man.

If a NT has to run 40 yards to do anything other than hit a buffet then the rest of the defense is in more trouble than we thought.

He can run with me but the Bills staff has to come up with the program...I am not a S&C coach.

Thing is hes not really fat, lots of it is in his lower body and chest, plus he did 33 reps, so he is in shape. this guy should be our 7th lineman and 3rd nt... solid pick

our next ted washington!

I'm guessing the Bills will stash him away on the PS and put him on a diet and conditioning program with orders to lose 60 -70 lbs. Actually 5.53 doesn't seem too bad for a guy who's pushing 400 lbs. Maybe at 340 he could run down close to 5 flat. That would be outstanding. Of course, then he has to be coached up the the NFL level. Who knows how long that's going to take?

Guys, the post on the 40 time was for reference... No need to worry about it, he won't be running the 40 yard dash.

I'm most interested in his 1 yard split :D:

He needs to eat up blocks and wreak havoc in the middle.

It's a real nice potential sleeper pick. If he can become Ted Washington...

378 pound guy at 6' 4" that can dunk with both hands?

I'm sold.

Nix on him:

“This is an amazing kid now,” said Nix. “He vertical jumps 32 inches and he long jumped like 9’5” and dunks a basketball with both hands and his body fat is not real high. He’s an exceptional athlete. We would’ve signed him as a free agent so we just drafted him and we’re going to see if we can see him play.”

I'd watch out with that. Seems like every year we put a good prospect on the PS and someone else yanks him (Joique Bell, Dominique Harris, Luke Lawton, etc...).

People on "The Biggest Loser" are skinnier than he isCan they dunk a ball with two hands and bench press 225, 32 times?

I see him as an athletic freak. If the weight is a problem or if he simply can't play at a high enough level we can cut him. But with a compensatory pick in the 7th round with no ability to sign him as an undrafted free agent right now, I like the move.

He lost 60 +++ pounds since January... This guy can easily be a solid 350 by next year

he'll need the practice squad time to learn the NFL game because he is far from being ready to play pro football....

Every few months there is a new superzied dude on the Bills roster that people get excited about. Lonnie Harvey, Kellen Heard and now, Jasper.

I think this poor kid has glandular problems. I'd be sure to give him a complete cardiovascular workup before I'd offer him any contract.

He could easily be down to 350 in a couple months if he continues to work at it like he has. I wonder at what weight the Bills want to see him?

Okay, this likely indicates Practice squad material:

Per rotoworld:

Bills GM Buddy Nix says No. 245 overall pick Michael Jasper is down to 378 pounds after playing in the 400s at Bethel College last year.

He topped out at 448 pounds in college. Jasper ran a 5.38 forty at his Pro Day at 6'4/394, roughly equivalent to a 270-pound wideout running a 4.4. "He’s not as big as you’ve got him listed," said Nix. "He’s down to 378 so he’s drying up." Jasper has athleticism, and obviously has size. The book on him is that he's not a very good player. The Bills will try to change that.

Okay, this likely indicates Practice squad material:

Per rotoworld:That quote has some goofy logic. I mean using that logic, a 120 pound wide out would run what a 3.1? I think they would be better off saying he runs very fast for a man his size, and leave it at that.

Agreed. The fact that he can dunk with 2 hands with his size is impressive enough.

I'm real anxious to see how he holds up against pro's in practice.

What an awesome story this would be if it works.
