All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
So why not draft some OL much earlier or a TE or anything that could help there? Makes no sense. This is s crap draft to not get any offensive help at all except for a big fat guy in the 4th round and a backup RB. How could they not take a QB, Fitz is dreadful.
We will enjoy watching the Bills score a consistent 18 points a game again.

The Bills offense took a nose dive when Parrish, Evans, and a couple other WRs got hurt. From what I saw, the offense was decent last year. I don't think it helped them that the D couldn't get off the field and give the offense a chance.
Re: Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
The 'good' OTs went at the back of the 1st round. Bit of a shame, but that's just the way it goes.
Much of the problems for the offense, relate to the D actually not stopping pretty much anything. They should, accordingly, get more opportunities to score points this year.
TBH, we didn't use a TE much last year, anyway, and we have plenty of WRs to throw to, now they will all be fit again.
Note also, our current HC actually does have more than just a clue about offense.

Unfortunately this team has more holes than a golf course. One way to help the offense is to shorten the field. To do that you need to get a good defense. I think they made great strides filling in some of those holes. I can see next year or free agency going to get a QB of the future and a right tackle as well as filling other holes.
Re: Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
doesn't matter who you bring in offensively if they cant get on the field because the d can't get off the field. No doubt the O has a lot of improving to do, but in their 2nd year under Chan and players playing together in their 2nd year, i expect them to get better without bringing anyone else in. The OL will take better shape now that Gailey has a better idea of what he has and the wr's getting a better idea of what the system asks of them. Same goes with the rb's
Re: Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
Why do people not understand, this was not a one or two draft turnaround. We are in year two of a three to four year buildup. The QB's and OL were legendarily bad this year in the draft, the defensive depth was the best in years, we needed 2 to 3 drafts to go from the tiny 4-3 that we were running to a NFL 3-4. We have now done that, we need one more OLB if Merriman doesn't work out, and next year (where it is shaping up as the best QB class in a long time, and there are already 2-3 legitimate OT's), we should complete the build.
Nix told you what was going to happen, Gailey told you what was going to happen, you guys just chose not to accept or listen to it.
I love how the years where we get slaughtered in the draft, the experts don't know anything, but yet we never got better, now this year the best draft analysts are praising the Bills, and they still don't know anything. This, ON PAPER, looks like one of the best drafts we have had in a long time.
Re: Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
While I see my point about not taking a QB, OT, or TE earlier being shot down, I see no one so far denying we will be scoring about 18 points a game again.
Re: Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
We will average higher than 18 points because our offense will be able to acc see the field more seeing Defense isnt going to be stuck on the field constantly

If we score 18 points a game and the oposition scores less we still win, that's how it works.

Why did we fire Jauron then?
You do realize 3 of the games we won last year of the 4 we scored 17, 14, and 13, the offense could not get late first downs and the Bills tried to give the game away but the defense held or the other team messed up. In one of those games the other team missed 4 FGs too.
Re: Bills offense sucks too, 28th in 2009, 27th in 2010
A better defense causes shorter fields, more turnovers, score points. Offense last year was average at best but they seemed to be improving almost every week.

Offense scored 70 points in the last 6 games including the debacle 6 turnover game by Fitz in game 15. They got worse as the season wore on. In the last 10 games they scored over 19 points just once, the 49 against the Bengals when just about their whole secondary did not play the 2nd half.
It is undeniable the offense got worst as the season went on.

Our WR's got hurt. Before Parrish got hurt believe it or not he was leading our team in receptions.
