I would rather just stay with what we have than spend the money on a player someone else wants to get rid of.

I'd bring in Seneca Wallace, Bruce Gradkowski, or Matt Moore. All could be serviceable back-ups.

Gailey would probably take Thigpen

I expected better from you Justa...

I bet he finds Kordell getting sucked off by a male prostitute in Schenley Park and talks him out of retirement.

Gailey didn't have to love Thigpen...he was stuck with him. I am not saying that he might not give the guy a look, but the constant assumptions that Gailey loves Thigpen is ridiculous.

Besides...Testaverde is out there.

I'd take those guys, but in reverse order.

If we're desperate to fill the roster, Kellen Clemens might be a guy to go after as a 3rd QB.

personally, i think bruce gradkowski is the best option. i believe he is the perfect back up and would give fitz enough of a push to make him elevate his play.

Agree on Gradkowski. I would also be curious to see what Chan can get out of a guy like Alex Smith, though.

Edwards would be a nice fit.

why can't we just role with brown as the back up?

if fitz goes down our possible 8-8 season crumbles. I'm fine with that. as long as the defense resembles an NFL caliber or even division 1 type defense. As opposed to last year's ladies who lunch grouping of men who let everyone and their mother runn wild.

Have to say that Gradkowski would make the most sense, he's good enough to fill in if required, and he's got a good football brain.

Leinart sounds so much like Trent Edwards it's kind of freaky. I think Alex Smith is kind of intriguing as a backup, but Gradkowski, Moore, Quinn, Brodie Croyle, Jackson, and Dixon would all be worth taking a closer look at.

I never said Gailey loves Thigpen . Just simply saying that he could be an option for Gailey . They could be looking for a qb to back up Fitz until we can draft a qb. Thigpen wont cost a lot and already knows Gaileys system while anyone else might have to learn Gaileys ways.

I have seen Gradkowski play in Tampa, trust me he does not have the arm to play in Buffalo.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is an average veteran backup. Oh yeah, he is our starter. Ugh.

gradkowski has that jeff garcia look, he would be a good backup
Jeff Garcia was 1000000 time better than Gradkowski. Garcia had over 25,000 yards passing and 161 TDs.

Yes - but is he healthy? Dunno...
