All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. The Buffalo Bills today announced that Tom Modrak has been relieved of his duties as Vice President of College Scouting.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
I bet Nix probably disagreed with most of his assessments. And that was that.

Probably cause he already started scouting this draft class before Nix took over...they are always a year ahead of the current class Nix has said before. They started scouting next years draft class during last season.
Nix was like "you want to take who?" "After we get out of here your fired!"
This is when you'd do it, as he wouldn't be involved in the next year's scouting. To fire him before the draft, you'd give a team a free shot at your intel from the previous year.

It's only logical that he leaves after the draft. No NFL team, I mean no one, will ever release your head of scouting before NFL draft. If you don't understand the implication of that, then you should not even comment on NFL draft at all.
