Hansen becomes the 27th Wall-of-Fame honoree and the ninth player from the Bills' Super Bowl era to be chosen. He will be inducted at a game to be determined this fall.

I don't know who I have to beat up to get tickets to that game, but Phil was my favorite player growing up (next to Shane C), and I'll be there for that game. Period. (x2)

Kelly, Smith, Thomas, Reed, etc., were all tremendous players without question, yet the only Bills jerseys that I have owned and worn are a white "Hansen" and a blue "Hansen" jersey. Sadly, the white jersey wore out, but the blue one is still in great shape.

His play in the comeback game was underestimated. He was as responsible for the comeback as Reich to Reed

Very deserving. Good to see Phil get some recognition for his play. He was a big part of the teams success.

I'll never forget how bad our passrush got the moment he retired... The man would have been an all pro on any team without Bruce Smith; especially when you consider it was all from a 34 end (who generally don't get that many sacks)

Am I the one that doesn't think this is a good idea? I guess it isn't my wall.

I loved Phil Hansen. I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves.

that's why I always felt in the Hanson v Schobel high motor white guy battle royale that Hanson was the better player
Schobel had a boatload of sacks, but he got them as a forty DE blindside rusher with tremendous interior help from Fat Pat and the Keg (who not only clogged the middle as the NT and UT to stop the rush game, but also penetrated too and got their fair share of sacks).

Hanson was a thirty de playing the strong side... yes Bruce was double teamed but really for a 34 d that means that Cornelius Bennett or another rush backer would get numbers, not the other DE. Sean McNanie didn't put up great numbers (not saying he was anywhere near Hanson's level of talent, but you get my drift) and Jeff Wright hardly ate up space as Hanson's nose tackle.
