    c.j. or freddie

maybe to get off the topic of fitz and how bad he is or isnt!!!!!

ive been seeing all this talk about reggie bush leaving NO and it made me think.

what if C.J. ends up being the caliber player of his first round pick.

we will have two very good backs.

that cant last forever. when one of their contracts runs out at a minimum, one will be asking for more money than the bills will want to give.

question is. wich one do we keep and wich do we let go. and why?

again. just to get off the topic of fitz

This is really no question at all...CJ is the obvious choice.

ummmm, fred won't be back because he is getting old and plus the back we drafted this year will probably be able to step up by then

Keep both. Freddie is getting old. He will make a fine compliment to CJ.

Freddie is old, pay cj. Plus we just paid freddie last year.

good points. the fact that freddie is old is true. but he is at the height of his time. should we really dump a great player because he is aging or keep him because he is good.

is there any way we could pay freddie less because he is getting old or do you think he is going to want more.

When Fred Jackson is gone, we'll need to bring in another every down back. Spiller will never be an every down back in this league.

                Re: c.j. or freddie

Fred has been a very good player for the Bills. He seems to be severely lacking in the ego that most football players have, and has shown the Bills quite a bit of loyalty despite being sat down many times he shouldn't have been. I would imagine that he has no problem playing second fiddle to Spiller and helping this team out in any way he can.

We'll see, though, people sometimes change when they're going for a final contract. I might be wrong in my assessment of him.

Cj without a doubt.....I LOVE action jackson...don't get me wrong....but the dude is 30 years old. Yeah he started late, but his body still is going to start to break down.

As for this year, I think we need to make sure that freddie gets handed the rock at least 17-18 times a game! Without a doubt he should be the starter barring injury.

fred is gone after his contract runs out. he has less mileage than a typical over 30 back, but it's kind of skewed. he was still running in other leagues.

I like fred jackson. he is what a running back should be. humble and awesome.

Spiller isn't an automatic signing though. He has to step up big time this year.

We need a couple plays a week from him. not a couple plays during the year. find the hole and go.

I still am 100% confident that CJ Spiller has all the talent and ability to be one of the best backs in the league. Its only a matter of time before he busts out, I just hope its w/ us!!

Our leading rusher in the 2013 season is not on this team. You can mark my words. I am reasonably certain the same goes for 2012.

Lets see the coachs give spiller 15-20 carries a few games.

I don't understand this thread, both players have several years left on their deals.

Agree with above. This seems to be a bit pre-mature. But, to play along, CJ would be the obvious choice if he's not a complete bust. Nice guys finish second to talent every time and if CJ shows us the same stuff he showed in college, Freddy would be the one to go, if any.
