The Buffalo Sabres today announced that season ticket prices for the 2011-12 season will increase by approximately 5%. Price increases will range from $1-$4 depending on the price level.
New this year is the inclusion of two pre-season games in the 42-game season ticket package. The two pre-season games will be included at discounted prices between $10-25, unlike most teams that charge full regular season prices for preseason games. The Sabres will be playing one less regular season game at home due to their inclusion in the 2011 NHL Premiere Series in Europe.

It doesn't affect me any since I don't live close enough to go to home games.

But, generally, I think people will be OK with this as long as Pegula spends some money to make the team better this summer.

Plus the ariticle made it sound like the raise was a necessary evil.

Of course the article made it sound like that. They would make it sound like that even if Pegula raised the prices just so he could buy a new yacht that's worth more than most people's houses.
