Heh - I remember Enyart. Wayne Patrick and Mini-Max Anderson, too.
Enyart was one of those "coulda, shoulda" players.
I chuckled at the comment about Simpson's blocking - he sure could, but that wasn't why he was there for. Simpson was a big, strong back...210 lb. plus...
His playing days are so long ago - younger folks missed out on seeing a stellar running back. I never saw such a big player move like him. His sense of hitting the hole was uncanny; he was great at following blockers and then bursting out. Having the late Jim Braxton sure helped, and the Bills built the "Electric Company" with OJ's talents very much in mind. When he broke free from the line, he flew and at top speed could juke anybody. IIRC, I think he still holds the KO ave. return record, when Coach Johnny Rausch made him do that.
He wasn't a fumble, either - he'd carry the rock in his strong right arm.Last edited by stuckincincy; 05-20-2011, 01:40 PM.Fiat justitia ruat caelum. Noli timere. Laus Deo.
