Stevie has a man-crush on Marcus

"This dude Marcus Easley looks like a beast," said Johnson to WEDG earlier this week . "He’s big and he’s fast and he still has all his speed. Now he’s comfortable with his routes. When he first came in he looked like a kid right out of college. I think after seeing how we ran our routes with Lee and Roscoe and myself with David (Nelson) and Donald (Jones) he picked up on it. He looks like he’s about 270, but he's actually 220 or 225. He’s big and fluid in his routes. I want to see what he’s about in preseason because he’s looking real good."

I was going to say the same thing after I saw the picture of the guys who were running the practices.

    Easley looks like a LB.

I was pretty impressed with him at training camp last year. He certainly looked promising.

Stevie has emerged as a solid number 2 WR for the Buffalo Bills in my opinion. For Stevie to be praising Marcus Easley so early on the way he has been gives us a hint of just how good this young man is going to be one day. Easley is strong and fast, able to go up top in heavy traffic and come down with the football. Some folks are already drawing comparisons to the great Eric Moulds, and for good reason.

Marcus Easley is the real deal...

For a guy who was a one year guy in college he can look as good as he wants in drills and routes but until we see it on Sundays there is not much to be truly excited about.

I hear where you're coming from DraftBoy . With all due respect though, my prediction is Marcus Easley will eventually become an elite/Pro Bowl WR in the NFL.

When I think about our WR's , I can't help but get excited

That's a fantastic prediction, but you cant blame me for being cautious.

Young WR's take time to develop usually, and coming back from a major knee injury is nothing to just look past.

Sure there is a lot to be excited about. Whether his combination of size, speed and blocking ability translates to the NFL remains to be seen.

I too am cautiously optimistic. My optimism comes from Fitz making those nobodies look good to a certain degree.

he has the size and speed to potentially be a huge addition to our team. I think he will end up being a starter next season (goodbye Lee), but he has a lot of talented guys ahead of him on the depth chart...
