Dareus could be start of something special

When teams struggle as long as the Bills have, it's easy to see even the smallest baby steps as major progress.
Unfortunately, the Bills have spent most of the last decade in a virtual standstill.
They replace one bad coach with an equally bad coach. They fail miserably with high draft picks. They let the few veteran contributers on the team walk in free agency, then settle for marginal talent to fill in the roster holes.

But for the first time in a very long time, I think the Buffalo Bills have taken a significant step forward.
And the reason is Marcell Dareus.

He's a cornerstone type, ala Bruce Smith that makes everyone else better because he draws so much attention. He did it in college like Smith did.. but he has to prove it all over again.

You build your D around players of his ilk..

Re: Dareus could be start of something special

I don't know why everyone was afraid to compare Dareus to the boy named Suh. Dareus is going to more than hold his own.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

I think this is the first time I can remember where 99% of Bills fans are all in agreement over a draft pick. While I don't think he's the next Suh, I do think he's the Ngata but more of a pass rusher, and that's scary.

Time will tell, but I think he will be much better than Ngata, I don't know how he will compare to Suh though.
