    Bills Low Points of 2010

I'm getting ready to run a series on Buffalo Sports Daily of the Buffalo Bills "Low Points of 2010". Off the top of my head, a few low points I could think of are: Stevie Johnson's drop, Roscoe Parrish injury, Shawn Nelson fumble vs. Baltimore, Bills running for the bus vs. Jets in season finale, the Patriot losing streak continuing and Trent Edwards getting released (making Gailey's decision to start him at No. 1 look bad)

I'd like some input/nominees from you guys. What do you all think are some of the other low points of the past season? It can be a specific play, situation or player.

The two biggest low points were the 1st two games with Edwards at QB. The two most boring games I can remember watching.

        Lack of production from Spiller.

        The need to trade Lynch

The RT position and its constant change.

        The pass rush.

        The run defense.

Trent getting released was a high point. Gailey quikcly realized his mistake and addressed it.

Not exactly what I was looking for-- but that was funny.

I think having a healthy Maybin put on the inactive list was a low point.

Here's a low point, starting the season with the same old hum drum offense that failed miserably in the season prior. To compound the problem we go and switch to a 3/4 defensive scheme made up of guys too small to play the positions they were asked to play. The result was like a pandemic. Things actually didn't start improving until we started cutting out parts of the Jauron infection. If that sounds like some kind of insidious disease, it's close. lol The whole team was under quarantine for the first 8 weeks of the season while Gailey tried to make sense of the problem.

The drafting of CJ Spiller, when we already had two good running backs and no offensive line. That eventually forced us to trade Marshawn Lynch for almost nothing. The icing on the cake was Spiller doing absolutely nothing on the football field.

One specific play that sticks out as the lowest point to me happened in week 2 against GB. It was 4th down and instead of trying to make a play, Trent Edwards just gave up and ran out of bounds to turn the ball over on downs. It was so pathetic, I don't think I could have felt more hopeless about this team. In that moment I think I debated if I would be able to stomach wasting my Sunday afternoons watching anymore Bills football. I'm always a really optimistic fan, but I pretty much gave up on the season after that. Luckily Trent got cut after that game, but that just confirmed that we needed to start from square one at qb again.

The KC game was ultra frustrating on so many levels...I started to type why but I just can't.

Brad Butler kicked the whole thing off.

You could simply resurrect the column from 2009 and change the date....or 2008....or 2007....
