    Planning for Merriman

“We know a lot about him because we’ve studied him,” said Sanders. “He’s a true professional. He’s a gym rat. He loves the game. He loves to play. He’s done a lot of good things and he’s a good athlete. We’ve got a pretty good idea on what we think he’ll be capable of doing. I’m just moving full steam ahead so that we’re prepared so when he’s here we’re ready to go."

Justa, you would be perfect for the news gatherer job that we're hiring for right now.

given his recent injury history, I'd rather see us planning for not having Merriman.

Does this mean that they are hiring extra Dr's, buying more splints, casts, crutches, pain meds, etc?

If only he can play to a fraction of what he used to be...

Unfortunately, football history shows that his kind of injury history is hard to recover from. Look at some of our own linebackers: Takeo Spikes, Angelo Crowell, etc.

It takes a while, but Spikes played pretty well last year.

Coming from San Diego- YOu should expect nothing from him! He's been off the Roids for years, and can't stay healthy!

Dude's finished at 28! What a foolish contract! Wow!

Well, it is a contract that has most of the money tied to incentives Merriman will have to reach to get paid, how is that foolish?

I'm not going to piss and moan about Merriman. If he is able to regain his health and his form, then I'll be happy as hell. If he doesn't, it was worth the gamble.

Unless it is at the expense of playing a young guy like Moats or Batten.

Considering how quickly Trent Edwards was pulled, I don't see that as being an issue with the new guys at the helm...

to think that Trent was Ralphies boy.
