Re: Drury to be bought out by Rangers
I loved Drury when he was here and I wanted to keep him, but he's been a big disappointment since he left. Unfortunately, I think he's washed up.

Re: Drury to be bought out by Rangers
I think I would pass. If he was the player that he once was with the Sabres and Av's, his contract would not be bought out. We do not want to become a place that dinosaurs who were once good sabres return to die.Last edited by generalmills; 06-09-2011, 03:59 PM.

Re: Drury to be bought out by Rangers
i say give him a 1 yr deal with conditional extensions,
alot of players sucked on the rangers the last 4 years.
then again, this scares me "Dru is getting older. That's why he has this chronic knee (problem).Last edited by SkateZilla; 06-09-2011, 04:10 PM.

He just went to NY to fulfill his "childhood dream" to play for the Rangers.
Bring him back.
He couldn't possibly play worse than Connolly has.

Re: Drury to be bought out by Rangers
I'd bring him back for a year. He won't be the player he was when he left, but he will still be the same guy. Good locker room guy, good character guy, leader and a decent center. He could be our 4th line center, play penalty kills with Grier. One more kick at the can. This is all provided we get another couple higher profile players (number 1 center probably through trade and a top defenseman.

Re: Drury to be bought out by Rangers
I think i changed my mind on the matter.... i would bring him back on a 1 or 2 year deal, if its for uner 2mil/year.... at best he's our 3rd line center.... although theres speculation that if Roy is still on the team, he wont consider it. I think he is a prideful guy who is upset at how things went in NYR, and will be driven to prove that it was just a series of unfortunate injuries, not his complete loss of abitlityRIP Tommy D!
