    Bears set standard by selling name

    CHICAGO - Bank One Corp. will be a presenting partner for the Chicago Bears, the first such sponsorship agreement in NFL history.

    The 12-year agreement allows Bank One, the biggest issuer of Visa credit cards, to sponsor community outreach programs for the Bears, advertise during non-game television and radio broadcasts, and have promotional signs at Soldier Field and the team's training camp in Bourbonnais, Ill.

    Financial terms of the agreement weren't disclosed, but one media report placed the number at $50 million. Sources familiar with the deal said the figure was somewhat less.
