Looks like the Preds are modifying their logo and swapping home jerseys from Navy to Yellow.

Also as of Tuesday the NHL still owned the rights to the name Winnipeg Jets... so tonight look for the "new" name of the Winnipeg franchise.

I never had a doubt. The NHL knows that they will curry much more favor with the Winnipeg fans this way.

i think it would be easy to have the NHL send the rights without documentation to winnipeg's ownership and paper it up later.

it's in the NHL's interest, they could come to some gentlemen's agreement for the sake of speed.

if another team owned it, they probably would want the payment upfront.

I heard that Preds jersey may only be a prototype, not the final product.

But here's their new logos. Upgrade IMO, but still don't like the yellow.

They need to have the legal usage rights on file, signed and notarized in order for them to be able to have the logo or name broadcasted.

The Draft tonight is being televised, so if they don't have rights, they will simply use the "NHL Logo" and say only "Winnipeg".

Florida actually hyas to SCRAMBLE to get to the new cap minimum. They are nowhere near the 40 odd million that they will be forced to spend- so they need to pick up a high priced guy.

Dale Talon brought Campbell to Chicago, now he's got him in Florida. I would not be suprised if they bring in another bad contract from someone else
