I know that he is set to play with Washington again this year but what are the chances that they will release him this summer? I heard a couple of rumors that they are going to cut him before training camp. I think that if he is released we should make a strong push to sign him. We are weak at DE and he would be a huge upgrade. He would also put a lot of people in the seats.
Bruce Smith?

Upgrade?
Well, maybe. But that doesn't say too much about what we have then.
Bruce is finished! He's lost too much speed and he's too small to play on strength.Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!
Then let's go to Disneyworld!
GO BILLS!!!

Not really...
I'd be happy to yell "BRUCE" when we play the Skins and MW or JJ shuts his slowed arse down!
That's when I'd like to yell Bruce! We'll see how good he is in that game. He'll be going up against one of the league's most, if not "the most", immobile QBs, but behind a very effective OL.
I'll bet ya that Bruce has no sacks, no big plays, and less than 4 tackles in that game.Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!
Then let's go to Disneyworld!

id take that for a 3rd down pash rusher
Living in the D.C. area, I watch the Skins usually by default if the Bills are not on. I've seen him play plenty and I'm tellin' ya he may get some sacks against some scrub teams, but his days as a decent pass rusher w/ any semblance of dominance are gone.
We're not in a state right now where we should accept mediocrity instead of trying to develop mediocrity into better than mediocre talent. I.e., we're movin' up, not down! Signing Bruce would be a bad sign for the team.
It also cannot be anything positive other than nostalgia. Bruce left here on his own terms somewhat unfavorably and with bitterness towards the team. He's not anywhere near what he used to be, he'll be 40 this season, which I predict will be his last as he registers his sack record w/ a walker, and he's finished as anything short of a very, very average, or less than that this year perhaps, player.
We don't need him. Besides, there's no way on earth that TD would sign him anyway.Replace Donahoe with Modrak and fire the entire coaching staff!
Then let's go to Disneyworld!

Simple as that, I do not want Bruce Smith in a Bills jersey again. He was a star here and those days are long gone. Please people, stop living in the past.Impossible is Nothing.
