6'1, 195 in the WHL

SCOUTING REPORT: A good sized kid who plays a gritty hard working game. Skates well in a north/south role but lacks lateral mobility and jump. Drives the net and works the boards well. Is good with the puck on
his stick but not going to beat many defenders one-on-one. Lacks hockey sense and the on ice awareness to be a consistently productive player even at this level. The scouts had high expectations for Jacobs coming
into the year but he brought more questions than answers as he failed to produce anywhere up to those expectations. Ultimately he uses his big frame to play a hard hitting, defensively responsible game and has some offensive skill to chip in the odd goal.
NHL POTENTIAL: Third line character forward.

One issue: He said the goal Stars scored to beat Buffalo was a good goal and counted.

Midterm, was the 40th ranked North American skater, but slipped to 61st in the final rankings. Big kid with 44 points (22-22) and almost 70 PMs in 68 games.

Could be a sleeper?

People on the HF board were saying his WHL team (Seattle) is sorry and it hurt his stock.

he believes in "no goal?". That drops him a bit in my book.

maybe he'll redirect the GW OT stanley cup shot off his face for buffalo. That would clean the slate for me.
