Is the man! Look for a 1K yard season and some good receiving yards too. Hopefully the spirit of Thurman is possessing him.

I think Henry is going to have a fantastic year ..perhaps 1500 yards. Hes no Thurman Thomas but he could be close !!

I would say that it is very similar to Thurman.
Both posted almost 900 yards in their first season.
In Thurman's second, he really came into his own.
Hopefully Travis will too.

I have said consistently that I like all our running backs, though I doubt Joe Burns is ever going to have a chance to make an impact. I have said Bryson has more speed by far to get outside, but lacks the vision and shiftiness to ind holes in the middle. Ultimately that limits his effectiveness. Morris is a good all around back, but nothing special. He could be a starter but will never be a star. Travis Henry has everything Bryson doesn't have, shiftiness, vision, and instinct, and lacks what Bryson has, breakaway speed. Barring injury he will undoubtably be a 1,000 rusher. It's too early to make a prediction for 1,500 yards, but if you take his approximately 150 yards rushing today and project it out through the rest of the season, he reaches 1,500 by game 10 or 11. Not bad for a second year player.

Did Henry go down one time on the first hit?

Bambino, I don't even think Henry ever went down on the second hit, let alone the first.
He also had amazing vison. That one cutback that went for a TD (his second I think) was absolutely amazing.

As long as he can find his helmet, then Thurman's spirit is good!
