Hecht might have played a part in landing Ehroff as am pretty sure both were in Germany this weekend if not mistaken. I think Hecht is a solid 3rd Center/Winger so might need him to replace Grier. I'll also be in favortry and convince Drury to come back to replace old man Niedermyer.

Kassian will ride the bench most this season much like Gerbe and Gragnani have as young players. I wouldn't expect him to be a full time starter until Boyes leaves after 2011. As we can then use Boyes cap money to work on getting Myers signed long term.

I can't see any reason to bring Drury back...35, degenerative knee...plus Drury is left wing and we're pretty well off...sure he can play center, but I'd rather bring one of the kids up and live with the growing pains, or shop elsewhere for a 3rd/4th line center.

Kassian needs an attitude adjustment - pronto. People are acting like he's the next coming of Cam Neely (where did we hear that before). He's looking more Brad May than Cam Neely. He wasn't even the best Sabres prospect at the World Jr. Champs here in Buffalo.
