His son is currently a hybrid DE/DT. Projected to play DT at VT though, also love the mohawk he's rocking.

              A 5.25 40-yard? Not at all Bruce-like.

Those time are not always accurate.

Smith was being recruited by Syracuse, Hampton, JMU, ODU, and Western Michigan.

In other words, VT was his best option.

Im not prepared to say that. VT was by far the best team recruiting him but as a legacy to the great Bruce Smith he has massive shoes to fill and pressure to preform. Plus as a 3 star DT in a school that annually brings in 4 and 5 star talent, depth is a legitimate concern. VT currently has 1 Sr, and 3Jr among their top 6.

If he goes to a school like Syracuse he's likely embraced by fans from the moment he walks on campus despite his performance. At Western Michigan he has a chance to be their highest rated recruit if not player.
