I can't believe that there can only be 14 padded practices for the entire 17 week regular season. Seriously? WTF? I have a feeling this will result in more injuries, not less.

In an article in my local n'paper a day or so ago, both Chris Collinsworth and mike Mayock expressed concerns about more injuries - they said especially so for rookies, who won't experience "NFL-quality" hits in camp.

Give them a little longer, they won't be wearing pads during games... They'll replace the pads with flags around the waist.

I don't know how it will affect injuries but I definitely think it will affect conditioning.

The entire league is now Club Jauron.

Good point.

At least the kickers have to make contact with the ball. That's more contact than the offensive or defensive players have now.

considering these guys seem to be dying in there early 60's and some late 50's can't really blame them to start to limit contact

I didn't think there was all that much hitting in practices once the regular season started anyway.

Millions of dollars, a posse, struttin' around the 'hood, baby mommas, violence, crimes... The desire for that, the big $$ the sport brings...they chose it. I don't have an ounce of concern for them.
