Could Charlie Batch replace Tommy Maddox as the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers?
At least one man with the Steelers believes so.
"Right now, he's the guy," Batch said, "and I have to actually try to get him out of there."
Batch started 46 games in his four seasons with the Detroit Lions, who paid him a $10 million signing bonus in 2000 to extend his contract. He fell out of favor with the new Lions regime, which released him last June....
