The Jets have employed the same tactic, according to NFLN, restructuring the contracts of linebacker Bart Scott, linebacker Calvin Pace, running back LaDainian Tomlinson and offensive lineman Brandon Moore.

This is what happens when a team actually knows it can win.

I'm extremely jealous of the Jets. They are building something special. Every player on Jets loves Ryan even guys that get cut.

Or they could work out a trade with Philly for Samuel.

No way the Eagles are gonna pay all three of those guys plus Samuel hasn't been in camp for "personal reasons"

Hey! Maybe we can go out and trade for Samuel!

Media is clueless lol never mentioned eagles. This is like Cliff Lee to Phillies, they called it a lock to NY and an outsider sweeps in

I have to say that this is one of the funniest things to happen in ages. How the Eagles kept themselves out of the frame, is borderline spectacular, and an absolute kick in the proverbials for the gob-****e Jests.
Not only have the eagles nicked their 'big prize' from under their nose, they've made them waste a heap of time and effort in re-structuring deals to supposedly make the signing.
People wonder why the Bills never talk about anything until the ink is dry. ;)

The Jets are now probably kicking themselves over passing on Drayton Florence.

I don't see why they'd lock up that much money in one position. Just doesn't make much sense.

No surprise there. The Eagles do not give players away like the Bills did Lynch.
