There's no way his weight was that much at Bama. The dude said he ideally wants to play around 310-315. How does he go from saying that to ballooning to almost 350?

Me thinks the original poster put the wrong weight up either that or Dareus is way out of shape.

bb.com has Dareus at 343 as well. That is way too much weight for him. He could drop 20 pounds before the season started and still be a little overweight.

i just checked out the photos. i agree, there's no way dude is 343. looks the same as he did at the combine.

There was a post on BB.com MB that mentioned Carrington, and said he looked really fluid in some of the drills being done, so that was good to hear, alongside the fact that he's got some more muscle added, is all a positive set of signals, imho.

Why would any of you ever believe what the weights on BB.com are?

Those things are never accurate, same with college official rosters. If Dareus was 340+ a big deal would of been made out of it.

His ideal playing weight is 315-320, he played at just under 310 at Bama an the extra 5-10 pounds will help him.

How the hell did Maybin play d-end at Penn St. at 228 lbs ? Oh thats right, he just ran around stiff o-tackles from oc games against MAC schools. And I thought he was 250 lbs ? Supposedly. We should try him at SS and when that fails cut him.
