Does anyone follow Whitner on Twitter? WGR reported he tweeted that his heart is in Buffalo. Anyone confirm?

If that were true, he should have signed the offer the Bills made to him before the lockout. I doubt he sees another one that good. Everyday that goes by now, the money drops for the free agents left.

He said that. It doesn't mean anything though. He said it two hours ago.

Honestly the longer he doesn't sign with anyone the more chance of us bringing him back.

He found out the rest of the league thinks he sucks too, so he wants to come back now.

I agree, but I doubt the Bills offer the same amount of money as before he tested the market.

If the price were right, I wouldn't be shocked to see him back.

He must be realizing it takes more to be good than saying you are. I did see Coach Sal kissing his ass on Twitter, getting ready for the GR gig I guess.

Count me as one of the glad ones if he comes back. Whitner's not been a game changer but he's been solid.

Thats a bit extreme. It would be a good move to bring him back on the cheap though. He is not terrible all around. Yes, terrible for the spot in the draft he was taken and not as talented as he thinks (or thought) he is, but the guy can play at the NFL level and that is something this team needs. It does get a lot worse than Whitner.

I'd take him for double the vet min.

There's no bringing him back now.

Time to move ahead without him.

Who is Donte Whitner?

For his own well-being, hopefully he doesn't guarantee he's on an NFL roster next season.

Nearly on a daily basis, whilst watching highlights or cut ups of players on NFL Network or ESPN...Whitner is almost always trailing in the background or flying by the screen as plays are being made in front/around/behind him. The standing with his hands on his hips and watching a celebration is seemingly very frequent as well.

Yes I know our D is bad, but anyone that shows up that much....it can't be an accident.

Enough said.

I'd rather give a rookie a shot. He may turn out to be better. We are going to suck anyway.

Best case scenario for the Bills? Give him a 1 year deal. Let him play his heart out and at least give us one decent season.

Whitner on the cheap on a 1 yr deal to be a backup is fine. Humble pie might help him.

He's fun to watch pile jump and tackling guys in the endzone. His suckness will mask the suckness of others.

This is too funny. If I were Buddy, I wouldn't offer a dime over the vet minimum.

I think once the team selected Searcy and saw he could move & hit, that ended any thought of Whitner returning.

Bryan Scott can see many snaps as an in the box safety. Wilson or Searcy can see the rest until Searcy is ready.

Whitner may be asking the Hamilton Ti-Cats for a tryout.

I am not convinced they would bring him back but if they do bring him back who would be the odd man out?

The meltdowns on this site if the Bills signed him would almost make it worth it.

The meltdowns on this site if the Bills signed him would almost make it worth it.

I said this in another thread, but it's worth repeating here:

As much as I want the guy gone, it would almost be worth getting him back just to see him have to come crawling back and beg the Bills for a contract. He'd be cheap and it would give him a much-needed blow to the ego.
