So does Easley go on IR or do we cut Paul Hubbard or Kamar Aiken?

Obviously someone Nix is familiar with. My guess is he holds a spot until Easley is ready to return. Can't hurt to see what the guy has while Easley heals.

Something is fishy with this signing....
Either someone is not performing or Easly's injury is worse then we thought......

Or use as an excuse to cut Hubbard for his off the field discretion.

I didn't see anyone say 1 month .... Last I heard was both Shepperd and Easley out 1 week with Sheppard being the worst with pulled hammy

Cook was put on injured list, opening up a roster spot.

But we have other needs that are more pressing.

Were at 89 and still have a roster spot open.

Davis has good size and talent, enough that San Diego drafted him in the first round. He has struggled staying healthy, and San Diego finally cut him this year. Worth a shot on talent, but he has to prove he can stay healthy.

He won't be that here but It's nice to see someone outside likes him more than we do.

If healthy, he has the talent to start. The guy was a first round pick, 6-1, 200#+, ran a 4.4 coming out of college.

Health is the question. He has been snakebit since he came into the league. He wasn't hurt bad at LSU.

He's still so raw, his routes are very raw, and his hands are inconsistent. He has issues beyond that of just injuries.

Meh...my ears might perk up a little bit if he were a TE or OT.

Chris Brown disagrees. "Davis has 4.4 speed and is known as a sharp route runner."

no surprise, nix was the scout who helped to draft him in sd

i wish him the best in buffalo

when healthy, he hardly dropped any passes and he was a good wr IMO

it was just rare that he was ever healthy.

also , for nix , he's obviously a cheaper option than trying to sign malcolm floyd

I like the move. Obviously it's somebody that Buddy Nix knows very well from scouting him big time and watching him play first hand on a daily basis in San Diego.

Buster is quick as hell, and is an excellent player to run reverses with. As for catching, i've read several people his hands are not very good, and that is probably the truth since SD cut him, but, it can't be much worse then Fulton or Roosevelt.

It's def worth a try, essp. given the uncertainty of Marcus Easley.

And when CB can give his honest evaluation, Ill listen.

He absolutely has 4.4 speed and he is very quick in and out of his cuts, but that doesnt make his routes good.

Chris Brown is your typical yes-man robot, I wouldn't take his opinions, or evaluations serious at all.

Bust-er Davis. Can have all the upside in the world but after 4 years... Pass. If he proves me wrong shame on me but I doubt he does anything

I've lived in SD since 2007. Trust me, this guy won't be on the opening day roster.
