    Darryl Talley learns ropes coaching

PITTSFORD — When Darryl Talley's playing career ended in 1996 after brief stints with Atlanta and Minnesota, the natural assumption was that one of the all-time Bills greats would transition right into the world of coaching.

After all, during the Bills' run to four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 1990s, he'd already gotten a head start in that endeavor because while Walt Corey was the team's defensive coordinator, Talley was the undeniable defensive coach on the field.

"I know everyone thought I'd get into it, but I had two little girls," Talley said Tuesday. "My parents were there for me, so my old man would have had a fit if I'd gone and done it then."

I think Talley would make a great coach. Best of luck to him...
