    Pre-season expectations

Heard Steelers' GM Kevin Colbert on the radio recently. he mentioned something about pre-season games that will be different from the past because of the special circumstance this year.

He said that in the past, the last pre-season game is for teams to determine practice squad players. This year, it will be reversed.

So it looks like the Steelers are going to play the 1st pre-season game like the last one: starters gets a series and out to avoid injury; a lot of future construction workers will be playing the majority of the game. Pre-season Game 2 and 3 will see a lot of new installments of plays by starters and backup players because teams don't have the reps they normally get in OTAs and having to be jammed into the camp now. The last game will most likely be the 3rd pre-season game in other years where the starters probably will play into the 3rd quarter.

    Makes sense.

Maybin will star against the Bears.

Just like every year...pre season games are worthless.
