    Wilson Upgrade over Whitner

    George Wilson, S, Buffalo Bills

    Replacing: Donte Whitner

Why He Can: It’s not just that Wilson can cover the loss of Whitner, it’s that he’ll be an upgrade if the way he played in 2009 is anything to go by. While Whitner gave up six touchdowns on his way to a -3.4 grade last year, Wilson was actually our third ranked safety in 2009. The converted wide receiver didn’t allow a single TD while picking off four balls, and earning a higher grade in run support than Whitner. He also had 10 more defensive stops, despite Whitner making more tackles. All in all, Bills fan need not fret about Wilson stepping up.

WR that can't catch = DB.

Shhh, don't get Lecter riled up.

I believe Wilson is better than Whitner, but in the end safety is never an important position.

what an idiotic post. wilson was a terrible receiver. therefore, there was an actual reason to try him somewhere else rather than just cut him. you don't just cut someone who you feel has talent and you don't move someone who is doing well at the position they're currently playing at.

Bryan Scott will see snaps as the in the box SS. Searcy was drafted and may eventually be the starter. Wilson is OK.

Wilson broke out during that Cowboys game and he's been solid ever since... very excited to see him get more time

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
                          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
