Per La Canfora on NFLN.Good move.

They need to trade Evans so that they can re-sign Williams and not get under 20+ mill under the cap. I digress.

Smart move by the Bills. Williams has outplayed his contract by a wide margin and is one of their big building blocks moving forward. Sends the right message when you reward a guy like Williams. He has earned it.

Shows what you can get when you keep your mouth shut and perform. He is very underpaid. I bet if Stevie starts up like he did last year he will get one too.

He's signed through 2012, just got an extension in 08. Let him play out this year and then address it. One year too early IMO.

Can't disagree. I'm good either way.I can. There's absolutely nothing wrong with extending him now.

the guy out performs his contract, he deserves to be paid isn't he only being paid like 1.5 mill?

Absolute must re-sign. A no brainer decision.

Good move, but didn't he just get a new contract a couple years ago? I hope Stevie Johnson is next, before he gets too expensive.

If they trade Evans just expect Johnson's numbers to cut in half and wait to pay him. Actually he will probably just walk away to another team with the direction this team is heading.

Not Fitz. He's not the future.

Not Fitz. He's not the future.

Well when you continue to get rid of weapons for him and not give him a line, of course he won't play to his potential. You put Andrew Luck on this team and we would still struggle to win 5 games.

don't the bills have to be over a certain number? aren't they 10 million dollars away from that number?

Not this year. That's why Ralph loved the new CBA. There is NO FLOOR this year or next year.

well these are the moves we are hoping to see the team be pro-active on.

If Steve Johnson plays well enough early he'll be on deck mid-season IMO

Stevie, yes. Fitz needs to show he's worthy of starting QB money.

I agree Fitz needs to show something this year. If he can be a long term starter, he deserves long term starter money. If he plays as he has in the past, I would be happy to see him signed to a back up contract with incentives for starting games.

They'll have to clear it with Kelsay first.

Great move! Kyle Williams is the most deserving player on this team of a long term extension. His price is only going to increase also, so why wait? Set an example for the younger guys on this team that if you work hard and make plays you will earn the big money.
