TBH, it should come as no surprise that players aren't too impressed. The reality seems to be that Evans is a genuinely 'good guy', as well as having conducted himself with class while with the Bills.
It's going to piss anyone off when a workmate who is a 'good guy' leaves - they are often few and far between.
People, imho, are reading way too much into the players reaction, it's no more than a normal human one.
As to all the other stuff in respect of how it affects the team, that's a different can of worms, but attempting to use players human reaction, to justify personal attitudes, isn't much of an argument.

Personally speaking, I don't like the move. Even if you consider Evans to be a 'one trick pony', he's been darn good at it. Imho, effective offense comes with having threats all around the field. Deep, intermediate and short. You keep the opposition guessing that way. Evans was the proven 'deep' part of that equation.
Gailey and Nix better be right that we have a guy on the roster, who will provide what we have just frittered away. If they are, then it's justified. If they don't come up trumps on this, it will be a major fail.

Lee Evans was the last really good first round pick this team ever made. He played very well despite a merry-go-round of Coaches, QB's, porous Olines, and no other WR to take pressure off.

I do...I wanted to draft Phil Loadhold, Sidney Rice and others.

Others told them to build their oline during the bledsoe years and beyond.

Told them to get more weapons for their anemic offenses.

Sometimes folks on this board make great suggestions.

They do very stupid things a lot.

Sometimes they have to for money and sometimes they can't agree on what to do.

This move was in making for a while...it someways it ends an era and begins a new. This will make our team better in long run...which we are all very tired of.
