Mr. Pink

It's good to see we have a number 1 WR who can run a slant and use his size to pick up a first down.

And then it's not good to see our offensive line look terrible on a running play.

easley isn't really that impressive to me so far. it wasn't a fumble, but he just seems out of sync with the team. fielding a kick on some else's side, slow speed on first kickoff. nothing has happened with him in the receiving game.

ddaryl
08-13-2011, 07:52 PM
Easley wanted that ball on that kickoff, but you could see the inexperience the moment he started running it... actually just the way he fielded it...

kingJofNYC

I doubt Easley's returning kicks in the regular season, we have so many returners on the team that are better than him, and have experience.

Exactly what I was worried about. With the St. John Fisher field situation, they don't spend much time doing full field special teams drills. They have done some basic stuff on the grass field. But special teams has gotten a lot less time than usual.

What field situation?

DEPTH. Signing a few more second tier FA's would make a huge difference. We need OL depth, WR depth, and a vet pass rusher.

This is an example of where spending FA money can make a big difference on depth and in case of injury.

Is there anyone out there still worth signing? They can spend the Evans savings if there is!!

What field situation?

They only have 1 grass field, because Fisher built a track and field complex over the two football fields. The field wasn't 100 yards either. So the Bills cut the field in half and made 2 50-yard vertical fields. The problem with this, when they practice during the day...it's always on the grass. But they don't have a 100-yard field to practice on. So they sometimes just do half field drills and pretend they are kicking the ball off, or punting the ball off. Also, sometimes they go over to the turf and practice special teams on that for 5 minutes or so.

I will agree......OL did not look bad, I think Urbik had 1 bad play but overall not bad...I watched them closely and the Bears D, which is good, didn't get any sacks and Fitz had decent time to throw. If I were to be critical they didn't open huge running holes.

Tough to sack a QB on 3 step drops, which the vast majority of the passes were in that half.

Urbik got blown up early, and Wrotto/Howard aren't doing themselves any favors.
