I couldn't see the game but I just watched some highlights online.

On Knox's long return, Maybin whiffed on a tackle attempt and ended up doing a fruitless Superman dive at Knox's heels.

Not only is he useless as a DE, he's now useless on S/T as well.

I thought they might keep him around just because his contract is relatively cheap, but he adds so little value that I don't see how they could justify keeping him at any price.

Actually... it was clear to me he was done the second he was drafted. Such a BLATANTLY bad pick.

Nix said the other day that although he gives effort, he is just too small to play LB. Asked if he could be switched to another position, Nix replied "any suggestions?" Everyone laughed, including Nix.

He is as good as gone.

actually i was impressed on the S/T play. He was almost keeping up with Knox. That being said he is worthless.

And the people complaining will also say that the Bills are under the same mgmt when Dick Jauron and Levy are gone.

The Buddy Nix regime might fail or might succeed. But one thing for sure is Nix doesn't like small players. Instead of 225 lb linebackers we now have a 310 lb linebacker on 3rd down in Alex Carrington. Dareus is big, talented D lineman. Merriman is a defensive end playing linebacker.

And for the record I said before he was drafted I didn't want Maybin because he played at 235 lbs in college which was too small, in my opinion.

But rehashing that draft is pointless since the guys who screwed up that draft are gone.
